HB_Field Trip

Students from the Engineering Academy and students from the Architecture class went on a field trip to Tulsa. We went to go visit the Philbrook Museum where some of Frank Lloyd Wrights work was going to be put on display. Frank Lloyd Wright had uniqueness in mind. As well as complete dominance over his work. Something that I didn't know was that he even designed the interior of his buildings such furniture and even vases.
Not only did we get to see this exhibition. We also got a tour of the museum. To my amazement, the museum was actually a house. It was the former residence of the Philbrook family. This house was designed to resemble an Italian Villa.A family full of philanthropist that donated their house to allow pieces of art work from all over the world to put on exhibition. Many of the Renaissance art pieces were amazing. One in particular was really cool. It was a replica of this one guys painting and its the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus. The shading and folds on the clothing were very impressive. I'm pretty sure that everyone had a great time. I know i did. It was a neat experience.
